Nearly every child in the school lined up outside school and walked out to join a fleet of coaches which took us to the Tyne Theatre to watch the pantomime Sleeping Beauty.
Children from reception through to year 6, were entertained by a cast of local actors, dancers and comedians who put a very North Eastern slant on the traditional story.
As the show was coming to an end, some children were invited onto the stage. Craig from year 4 and Corey from year 2 joined comedian Maxie on stage. The highlight was when Maxie started to talk to Corey who continued to talk and talk back to him. "Put the kettle on... we might be here some time," shouted Maxie to the backstage crew as Corey entertained the whole audience.
The whole afternoon was very entertaining and was made possible by the hard work of Mrs Inkster.

I had a good time at the Pantomime. I enjoyed watching the monsters the most. I hope we can go to see Cinderella.

I liked the pantomime when the baby Briar Rose kept pumping in her cot. It was really funny and it made me giggle.

I liked going on the bus with my friends and Year 6L. We sang lots of Christmas songs. I liked the baddy Grimelda when she blasted the smoke onto audience and the prince. It was great.

At the pantomime we liked it when the Prince kissed the princess and she woke up.

We liked it when they had a fight against the baddie Grimelda and they threw rocks at her. We really like Jester Mo when he batted the sweets with a tennis racket. When he hit the bag of crisps it was silly. Please can we go next year?
