In R.E. we have been learning all about what a community is and what it’s like to be part of a community. We have spent a long time looking at different types of communities and what symbols are used to show people that they are a member of that community, such as a cross, school badge, football strip etc...

We then focused on one community the ‘Salvation Army’. The whole class thought this was the army and were shocked to see our visitor from the Salvation Army turn up in normal clothes rather than a camouflage uniform.

Year 3 really enjoyed the visit and asked lots of questions.
