Successful Bridges

Year four finished their Creative Curriculum topic called 'Bridging the Gap' just before Christmas.

They have made some very good drawbridges which are controlled by a mechanism underneath.

Throughout the topic, the class have had to think about how they can get their bridges to stand straight as well as how to make sure the string did not jam.

In addition to this, they were able to work well with their partner and develop a large amount of skills throughout the topic.

Well done year 4!!!!

We learned how to make bridge stronger by putting card conners on and how to use mechanisms to pull up the bridge so it worked.

I learnt to make things steady. As well as makings things steady I learnt to use a saw to cut, to glue and stick card corners to keep the bridge strong.
