Year 5 have started work on their own inventions. They have been using a huge range of skills, with all kinds of tools and materials.
There has been sawing and joining of wood, needlework, modelling with clay, glueing, painting and decorating.
Mrs Pigott was delighted with how well the class worked, taking responsibility for their own materials and equipment; and following their own plans, adapting them as they needed to. Once all of the inventions are completed, the children are going to prepare presentations to promote their inventions. We are going to hold our very own Dragon's Den where they will try to impress the Dragons with their creativity, and the quality of their designs.
