As part of world Fairtrade day Roman Road Primary are holding a coffee morning from 9am onwards on Friday 17th May. We will be in the key stage 1 building so come along and have a tea or coffee where you can buy some of our freshly made cakes, lemonade, chocolate mousse and more.

Would you like to get fit? Have you ever tried to hula hoop?
If you would like to join me for hula hooping then come in
on a Monday lunchtime and join in with the fun.
We start at 12 oclock prompt and finish at 12.45pm.
All you need to do is turn up and pay £1 contribution
to help pay towards the cost of the hoops we use.
We will start on Monday 15th April so hope to see you there.

Helping Hands PTA will be holding their Easter disco on Friday 22nd March 2013.
Tickets are priced £3:00 per child,
Early Years and KeyStage 1 4:15 - 5:15 (nursery parents to stay)
Key Stage 2 5:30 - 6:30
Please note that tickets WILL NOT be available to buy after 15th March 2013.

The Helping Hands PTA organised Christmas discos for Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 last week.
All of the children had a fabulous time dancing to music played by Santa DJ; playing party games and eating a lovely party tea prepared by members of the PTA. The behaviour of all children was excellent. A big thank you to Mrs Lacey for organising the event.
We are an Eco School! We will shortly be asking pupils and staff to join our bid to win our Bronze, Silver and Green Flag Award. this will make us an Eco School. A Green Flag Award is an internationally recognised Award and we will win it!
Parents, let us know if you are interested in joining our Action Team!
You might be able to give us some tips on how to become more Eco Friendly. We already have a gardening club run by parents and staff. We have a rag bag bin so all your old clothes can go to be recycled. We are an amazing Bike-it! school and we can only get better!

Helping Hands at Roman Road Primary School

Helping Hands at Roman Road Primary School are holding a Christmas Fair on Friday 12th December from 2pm untill 4pm. There will be refreshments on sale along with festive food, tombola's, book and toy stall, guess our Reindeers name along with our Grand draw tickets to buy which are 50p each(drawn on Thursday 18th December after the whole school carol service). Santa is also paying us a visit so the children can see him at the fair.
Children can be picked up from their class from 2pm.

Our next event is a Christmas Fair and is to be held on Friday 12th December 2pm untill 4pm.
Children can be picked from from their classroom from 2pm onwards.
There will be a tombola, book stall, toy stall and we have arranged for a visit from Santa. Santa is free to see for children who attend Roman Road Primary and a cost of 50p to children who don't attend. There will also be tea,coffee, juice, chocolate logs, sweet mince pies on sale as well as our grand xmas draw tickets.

Helping hands would like to welcome everyone back to the start of a new school year, look out for our termly newsletters which will have future events in. The next event is our Halloween disco, look out for the letter coming from school on coloured paper.

During the six weeks holidays the PTA and families enjoyed a day out at Lightwater Valley. A great day was had by all and can't wait to extend the invitation to the whole school next year.

We have recently put together a school PTA (parents and teachers association) called "Helping Hands at Roman Road Primary".
It has a mixture of parents and staff who get together and organise events and fundraising events.
We have recently had a Halloween disco, Christmas Disco and more recently a fun day.
