Gateshead Family Learning

We are very proud to run Family Learning courses each half term – these are a fabulous way for the whole family to learn together while building relationships and bonds. Sara and her team work with our parents and carers to build confidence, skills and knowledge so families can help their children with homework, understand school topics and even gain qualifications.

Courses run each half term and they are on a Monday afternoon in the school hall – sessions start at 1.30pm. We would love to see you there!

Autumn 1 Seasonal One Off Workshop

For our families who can’t commit to a block of Family Learning, we are pleased to share that Sara will be running a one off Family Learning Workshop on Wednesday 21st October – what a wonderfully seasonal way to end the half term! This is open to our families with children in Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 2.

Bags of Taste

Bags of Taste are offering Roman Road families FREE fun cooking courses! They provide a FREE delivery of ingredients (enough for 3 tasty, low cost meals) and offer support via WhatsApp so you can cook at your own pace.

After completing the dishes, participants receive more recipes and even a small free gift – what an amazing opportunity!

If you would like to be involved, please drop us a message on Class Dojo or sign up using the contact details on the flyer below:

As part of their ongoing School and Communities Venues project, we are working with Citizens Advice Gateshead to allow them to connect directly with families. This helps to raise awareness of the advice and support available and ensure that help can be accessed at the earliest possible opportunity.

You’ll see Nick and the team at various Roman Road events over the year so please do go and say hello!
