Homework

We have three main homework activities here at Roman Road: home reading, online learning and class activities.

Home Reading

We know how important reading is in order to be sure our children can be as successful as possible. We expect our children to read at home every night — this should be recorded in their reading diaries.

Online Learning

Spelling Shed and Times Table Rockstars are our online learning platforms that we encourage our children to use.

Spelling Shed – this spelling teaching scheme is the most up-to-date scheme available based on cutting edge research into the teaching of spelling. Use this to prepare for the weekly spelling test!

Times Table Rockstars – all children in KS2 have a TTRS log in. This engaging maths programme boosts children’s factual fluency and improves recall in multiplication and division. It is also hugely helpful in preparation for the Y4 Multiplication Tables Check.
