Reception have enjoyed going on minibeast hunts. On one of the hunts, we made a tally next to the picture of a chart then counted up how many of each min-beast we had found at the end of the hunt. On another hunt we used spoons and brushes and were careful to collect some of the mini-beasts in our bug collectors. We then took them back to the classroom and talked about their similarities and differences and then drew the creatures that we found. We had lots of fun.
